I have several pocket knives in rotation for various jobs around our garden and woodland. That said, I really appreciate having a knife that’s not only practical but also looks the part, and the Cheviot certainly does.
The charred hardwood handle has a wonderful scent and adds real character to the knife. The blade itself is reassuringly solid, which one would expect from Sheffield’s Witness.
I also opted for engraving, which looks fantastic and was completed remarkably quickly; I still received the knife within just a few days of ordering. Overall, very happy with the piece.

I ordered for myself the Cheviot and within a week took delivery of the perfect pocket knife. Apart from it being a useful object it must be the most tactile object I own. I had mine engraved and loved it so much I ordered one for my brother PFH and another for my cousin MF. His I will deliver when I attend his wedding in New Zealand in April.I cannot recommend the company or the knife highly enough. A pleasure to own and first rate customer service.
