Personalising a Fieldtrip product, whether it's a set of cups, a Cheviot knife, or any of our accessories, turns it from something you own into something that's yours.
A name on a knife you carry every day. A date on a set of cups to celebrate a wedding and a lifetime of adventures ahead. Initials on a gift that tells someone you thought about them. Our laser engraving creates a permanent mark that won't fade, rub off, or wash away — it lasts as long as the object itself.
We use state of the art laser engravers which create a permanent mark on the object - it can't be rubbed or washed off, and for objects like the cups means it's completely dishwasher safe.
Adding engraving is very easy - on any products where it's available you'll see a yellow 'Add Personalisation' button just below the 'Add to Cart' button (this is the same on desktop or on a mobile).
If you click on this button a window will pop up allowing you to enter the text and choose your font.
On mobile it will look like this, and you use the arrows to move between the different areas you can enter text, and you can choose your font:

Once you're happy with the preview of your order click on the green 'Add to Bag' button and your item (and engraving) will get added to the cart.
Click on the Cart button (top right corner), and then you can go to checkout. You should be able to see a preview of your engraving in the cart page. You can also add any order notes, or a gift message here (use the + Add Order Notes link at the bottom of the cart).
At checkout you can then choose the billing and delivery address, enter any discounts or gift vouchers you've got, and complete checkout.
You'll receive a confirmation email with details of your engraving. If you need to change anything, just reply directly to that email and we'll update your order for you.
Not sure what to engrave? Our most popular choices are initials, a name, or a special date — but you can add anything you like. And if it's a gift, don't worry: we never include pricing in the package.
