We get a lot of questions about how easy it is to set up the roof tent (and pack it up again afterwards), so we thought the easiest thing to do was show exactly how it works.
We use the iKamper Skycamp 3.0 tent which is their top of the range option. It can sleep 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) comfortably, comes with a 2.5” thick insulated foam mattress and is made of black-out polycotton so you can get a good nights sleep and a lie-in even on the sunniest of mornings!
Setting up is incredibly quick - 70 seconds from start to finish, and you can see exactly how we do it below.
Closing the tent takes a little longer (we reckon about 3 minutes) but is just as easy. The most important thing to check is that you haven’t left anything in there (very frustrating to realise your phone is now locked away in the roof tent!) and that you’ve pushed the front mattress back on top of the other half so that the tent can fold shut properly.
And that’s it - you’re ready to move onto your next campsite!
